riverside retreat success
signature dish riverside view
The chinese restaurant, the emperor, was special. i also really enjoyed the 24-hour cafe and its hainanese chicken rice. It was AMAZING!!!

decent stay, some drawbacks

The wifi was spotty at best, I struggled to stay connected for more than a few minutes AT a time. the gym equipment felt a bit OLD. I also had some trouble with the air conditioning. It kept switching off automatically. I hoped for better.

a decent stay with minor drawbacks
river view taxi service expensive food distant location
The room offered a river view from a high floor. This provided a nice outlook. there were also excellent taxi services available and a 24-hour café. I found this convenient.
the hotel felt somewhat aged, though it had character, i think some services and food at the hotel seemed quite expensive. the location was a bit outside of the main town, though there was a good selection of shops nearby.
